Tech Head (AI/Full-Stack)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Technical Head to lead our engineering team, drive AI initiatives, manage deployments and servers, and take ownership of our technology stack. You should have hands-on experience with MongoDB, Node.js, and React, but be technology-independent – able to choose the right tools for each problem rather than being locked into a single stack.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & AI

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, AI/ML engineers, and DevOps professionals.

• Oversee the end-to-end development and deployment of AI models (LLMs, predictive models, etc.) into production.

• Set technical strategy, architecture standards, and best practices (code quality, testing, documentation).

Deployments & Server Management

• Own CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.

• Manage cloud servers (AWS/GCP/Azure): provisioning, monitoring, scaling, security, and cost optimization.

• Ensure high availability, incident response, and disaster recovery.

Full-Stack & Database Proficiency

• Leverage your MongoDB expertise to guide schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and replication.

• Use your Node.js experience to architect scalable backend services and APIs.

• Apply React knowledge to oversee frontend architecture and integration.

• Stay technology-independent: evaluate and adopt new languages/frameworks/databases when appropriate.

Travel

• Travel to Dubai as required for strategic meetings, client engagements, or team alignment.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering, with 2+ years leading a technical team.

• Proven experience with AI/ML – from experimentation to production deployment.

• Strong DevOps skills – Linux servers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure.

• MongoDB – production experience (sharding, performance tuning).

• Node.js – backend development, microservices, event-driven architecture.

• React – frontend architecture, state management, component design.

• Ability to think technology-independent – you don’t force a stack; you pick the best solution for the problem.

• Excellent communication in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, vector DBs).

• Python (for AI/ML integration).

• Knowledge of additional frontend frameworks (Vue, Angular) or backend languages (Go, Java).
